Green Leaf Threshing

The green leaf threshing and redrying line usually starts from vacuum conditioning of tobaccos to the final packing of separated lamina, stems and scraps as per a certain processing procedure. The line mainly includes for sections: 1) Raw tobacco pre-processing section, 2) Lamina and stem separating section, 3) Lamina, stem and scrap redrying section, 4) Finished product packing section. Besides, necessary support facilities such as raw tobacco and finished products store, dust removing and collecting room are required.

1. Raw tobacco pre-processing section

The function of this section is to improve the processing resilience of tobacco with a stable and even moisture content and temperature to endure the subsequent threshing process at the smallest degradation cost.

The main process in this section includes vacuum conditioning, tipping/tie-leaf cutting, primary conditioning, sand sieving, secondary conditioning, foreign matter sorting, etc.

2. Lamina and stem separating section

The function of this section is to separate the lamina and stem from tobacco leaf through mechanic threshing force.

Technologies such as softly threshing and fine classifying with high efficiency and lower energy consumption are adopted to achieve desirable quality and yield.

3. Lamina, stem and scrap redrying section

The function of this section is to remove the greenish odor and ammonia while enrich the desired aroma and flavor in tobaccos.

Gradually drying at low temperature and automatic reordering technologies are adopted to make sure the redried tobaccos with suitable moisture content, low curling and temperature for long term storing and aging.

4. Finished product packing section

The function of this section is to fill and pack the finished products of GLT in a certain package (i.e C48 carton box, jute bag, etc.) for subsequent storage and transportation.

The main process in this section includes pre-press (both hydraulic press and mechanic press are available), hold down press, weight checking and strapping.
